Study centre inaugurated at PB College, Gauripur

DHUBRI: The Principal, Pramathesh Barua College, Gauripur and the Chairman of the North-East Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India have signed an MoU to open a study centre on Sunday at PB College, Gauripur under the initiative of the Department of Commerce.

This study centre is a first ever attempt of providing opportunity to the interested students of the Western Assam to get enrolled in affordable professional course in Company Secretaryship. In this regard the IQAC, Career Counseling Cell and the Department of Commerce of the college organized an inauguration programme. The programme started with the national anthem followed by an introduction about the programme by Coordinaror, IQAC of the college,Dr. Gopal Ch. Barman.

Assistant Professor, Department of Accountancy, Diganta Biswas addressed the house about the MoU for establishment of a study centre of Company Secretary between Pramathesh Barua College and ICSI NE Chapter, Guwahati.

Dhubri Superintendent of Police, Abhijit Gurav Dilip, the Superintendent graced the occasion as the chief guest and enlightened the students with his motivational speech.

Principal, BN College of Dhubri, Dr. Dhruba Chakraborty too spoke in the meeting as distinguished guest and said that the students should set goals to become a good human being. The in-charge of ICSI, North-East Chapter, Guwahti, Chiranjeeb Sarma Roy also delivered his speech on the objectives and prospects of Company Secretary course, the registration process and the mode of studies.
